CBMC's Christian Vacation for the whole familyLeave Nobody at Home Bring the whole family to the 88th Annual CBMC Southeast Family Conference, July 27-August 1, 2008, Lake Junaluska, NC, 30 miles west of Asheville. The Conference Theme Verse is: “ Live a life worthy of the Lord” Colossians 1:10 Please join us for
carefully crafted adult, child, youth, teen, and college Christian education
programs and activities that are age specific, so kids and adults alike will be
able to do what they want. An on-site nursery at Lambuth Inn is available
for children ages 6 months to 2 years.
Our
Bible Hour speaker will be David Arthur, Vice President of Teaching and Training at Precept
Ministries International. Prior to coming to Precept David served as vice president at Generous
Giving’s communications and publications, as well as participating in one-on-one
mentoring of pastors and church leaders. He also served several years as a
pastor in the Presbyterian Church of America. Prior to his pastoral work
he was employed at IBM in Columbia S.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in
organizational management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA, and a
master’s in theology from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. He and his wife, Margaret,
live in Lookout Mountain with their three daughters. David is
the son of speaker and author, Kay Arthur.
Our
Family Hour speaker will be Tullian Tchividjian the founding
pastor of New City Church in Coconut Creek, FL, and visiting
professor of theology at Reformed Theological Seminary. A graduate of
Columbia International University and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Pastor Tullian is the author of The Kingdom of God: A
Primer on the Christian Life, (Banner of Truth), and his newest book, Do I Know God? Finding Certainty in Life’s Most Important
Relationship, (Multnomah). When he is not reading, studying,
preaching, or writing, he enjoys being with people and relaxing with his wife Kim and their three kids, Gabe, Nate,
and Genna. Tullian loves the
beach, loves to exercise, and when he has time he loves to surf. He is a
grandson of Billy and Ruth Graham.
